Working for Breizon Ltd in Galway on the west coast of Ireland, we are proud to offer premium grade frozen at sea langoustines.  Langoustines frozen at sea are processed and frozen immediately after being caught. This rapid freezing process helps preserve their freshness, texture, and flavor.  For luxury at a more affordable price we also offer landfrozen langoustines for cooking.  Read on to learn more about this delectable seafood option.

Deep Sea Frozen Langoustines

Found in the deep waters of the Porcupine Bank, located about 200 km off the west coast of Ireland, these langoustines are typically caught at depths of around 200 meters.  Langoustines from this area tend to be larger with a distinctive colour due to the deeper, colder waters they inhabit.  Sizes typically range from 5/10 pieces per kg to 30/40 pieces per kg and packed in 3kg sustainable cardboard trays.

Inshore Sea Frozen Langoustines

Inshore langoustines are found in shallower, coastal waters closer to the shore. They are often caught in estuaries, bays, and other nearshore environments. These langoustines are generally smaller and have a slightly different coloration due to their habitat.  Sizes typically range from 16/20 pieces per kg to 40/50 pieces per kg and packed in 3kg sustainable cardboard trays.

Landfrozen Langoustines

Harvested by the local inshore fishing vessels at sea for up to 3 days, these langoustines are delivered fresh to the plant in Galway for grading, packing and freezing. Breizon Ltd has spent 45 years building strong relationships with Irish fishermen and is extremely selective about the fishing vessels with whom the company works. This ensures consistently receiving top-quality raw material for processing.  As with inshore frozen at sea langoustines,  sizes typically range from 16/20 pieces per kg to 40/50 pieces per kg.  Packaging options are flexible.
